Louise Soucy is the owner of Soucy Accounting Services, providing bookkeeping and accounting services to small businesses.
She grew up in Caribou, Maine and attended the University of Maine where she received her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and finance. She began her professional career at Arthur Young and Company in Portland, Maine. She worked there for several years before becoming a finance manager at Mercy Hospital. In 1994, she and her husband moved to Mount Desert Island when Louise accepted the position of Vice President of Finance at MDI Hospital. Eight years and 2 children later, she left the Hospital so she could spend more time with her children. While they were in school, she worked part-time – first as Finance Manager at the MDI YMCA and then as a tax preparer. She prepared taxes for many small businesses, noting that they were often in need of timely and accurate bookkeeping. She started her own business early in 2018 to help small business owners with their accounting and bookkeeping needs.
Louise and her husband have lived in Southwest Harbor since 1995. They have 2 grown children. In their free time, they like to play golf, hike, and spend time with family.
